YOUNG WOMEN IN HARMONY
Young Women in Harmony was created to engage the next generation of barbershop singers in 4-part, a cappella harmony. Sweet Adelines International and Region 21 Golden West are passionate about introducing younger singers to the barbershop music art form through the Young Women in Harmony (YWIH) program. Designed for singers age 25 and younger, YWIH creates opportunities for students to explore the world of barbershop music through education, festivals, workshops, camps and competitions.

Resources for Music Educators
YWIH offers complimentary resources for music educators that incorporate barbershop harmony into their school's choral repertoire. Barbershop singing is a rewarding accomplishment for vocal ensembles of all ages, and the curriculum is available at no cost. Region 21 Choruses
The Young Women in Harmony program is supported by Sweet Adelines International, Regional Young Women in Harmony Coordinators and Chapter YWIH Representatives. Together, these volunteers are helping introduce barbershop singing to communities throughout our region and the world. When your chapter facilitates a planned a cappella festival or workshop, you invest in confident singers, preserve the barbershop harmony art form and keep chords ringing!
Your Region 21 Golden West YWIH Coordinator (RYC) can help answer questions about getting involved in the Young Women in Harmony program, including how to get started by organizing a YWIH festival, workshop or contest. Contact your Region 21 Coordinator today for more information.
