An internationally known singer and education, Kim Hulbert has served as the director of the San Diego Chorus since 1985.

Under her dynamic and knowledgeable leadership, the San Diego Chorus has won seven Regional Championship medals as well as numerous International medals; most recently, the International Gold in October 2002.



Kim is a three-time International Quartet Champion, most recently singing lead in the 2001 First Place International Champion Quartet, A Cappella Gold. Her first medal was earned in 1976 with High Society and her second in 1988 with Savvy. Kim is currently singing bass in Affinity, the 2008 Region 21 Quartet Champion and will be competing with her new quartet at International in Hawaii in November.



A Certified International Faculty member, Kim also is a judge in the sound category for Sweet Adelines International and is much in demand as a voice teacher and coach for quartets and choruses worldwide. She also serves as Musical Director of the Pacific Coast Harmony Men's Chorus in La Jolla.
